PME-ART
::: Performance | 7 h | Audience may roam
In French and in English
Creators: Caroline Dubois, Claudia Fancello & Jacob Wren
BIO
Focusing on artistic collaboration, the work of PME-ART is an ongoing process of interrogating the performance situation, of questioning the world, of finding the courage to say things about the current predicament that are direct and complex. In nearly fifteen years PME-ART has presented its creations in thirty-five cities, whether in Quebec, in Canada or abroad. The ongoing HOSPITALITY project is a series of performances, interventions, events and workshops that take place in a variety of venues, all focused on questions and strategies surrounding how friends and strangers alike can interact in a manner that is at the same time useful, critical, hospitable and surprising.

The DJ Who Gave Too Much Information, MACM, October 2011
"There's an improv nature to the performance, a sweetly engaging quality to the work of the trio of creator/actors that doesn't aim for narrative or logical coherence but does suggest the disparity between separation and connectedness. […] Best of all is the performers' playful nature, which of course is reflected in the piece itself. Hospitality 3 may look at some serious philosophical matters, but it does so in the most light-hearted manner." – Jon Kaplan, Now Magazine, Toronto, November 20, 2008 (about HOSPITALITY 3 – Individualism Was A Mistake)
