John Boyle-Singfield

Performance + Choral singing

TOS is a musical and performative transposition of Google’s terms of service. Driven by a desire to increase the visibility of this important, yet disregarded text, John Boyle-Singfield integrates music, choral singing, live arts and the mass media systems into a single performance.

MUSIC Gentiane M. Gagnon
CHOIRMASTER Roseline Blain
CHOIR Membres de l’Ensemble Gaïa

BIOGRAPHY
John Boyle-Singfield works with a wide range of mediums: video, sculpture, installation, painting, text and Internet. His conceptual approach that focused on appropriation brings a critical reflection on art, and considers the production and participation problems generated by the uses of the new technologies of the mass-media and of information systems. Inside those transformations, he uses hybrid techniques that put into question the signification of art and his role in society.
