Mine de rien

Marie Mougeolle & Liane Thériault

Danse

At the intersection point between claiming space and getting worked out, Mine de rien gets away from the studio in order to get closer to it. This duo explores questions that relate to performance, the joy of dancing and the issues related to spectatorship. This project benefited from a residency at the Dance Department of UQAM.

BIOGRAPHIES
Liane Thériault and Marie Mougeolle sign their first collaboration for the OFFTA 2015. Liane is a performer, video artist and choreographer. She likes the physical work of the body, but also the absurd, the playful and rock music. Marie is a performer, creator and teacher. As raw material, she likes to work with the personal experience of the dancer. Both have in common their interest for the interdisciplinary creation process and a strong desire to question each other practice.

Tout ce qui va, revient

Catherine Gaudet

Dance

In constant circulation between the inside and the outside, the objectivity and the subjectivity, the look — this invisible action — is in perpetual motion. To look at someone or something is a great risk: whoever looks transform the world while he or she is transformed by it. What we see sees us in return, judge us and engages us despite ourselves. Tout ce qui va, revient, is a living study of the look, initiated during the thesis of Christine Charles.

OUTSIDE ADVISOR AND INITIATOR Christine Charles
PERFORMED BY Sarah Dell’Ava

BIOGRAPHY
The work of Catherine Gaudet delves into the intricacies of the human psyche and tries, through the use of the body, to bring into light the subtle traces of the unconscious and the complexity of the identity. Her work highlights the tangled feelings and contradictions of the being and reveals the distortions which sway away the façade. Catherine Gaudet is dedicated to creation since 2004. Since then, her works haven been presented in Montreal, Denmark, Belgium and France. She is a founding member of the company Lorganisme.
