Kermesse – Être Riche

Thurdsay May 14th, 5pm
Launch event of the OFF aux Jardins Gamelin

Held as a festive kermesse in the center of Place Émilie-Gamelin, this opening night will start with a public debate under the theme : « Being Rich ». At 5:30pm, Jasmine Catudal and Vincent de Repentigny, co-directors of the festival, will be giving a little opening speech followed by Dalie Giroux. Resident-philosopher at the OFFTA, she will moderate the discussion to which Étienne Lepage (artist), Sarah Berthiaume (artist), John Boyle-Singfield (artist), Catherine Lalonde (journalist) et Christian Saint-Pierre (journalist) will participate. An open mic will allow everyone to voice their opinion on the meaning of that particular expression. Then, around 6:30pm, the public will inaugurate the activities that will be held all month long at the Jardins Gamelin: a new theatrical sport, the Plyball, a mythic karaoke and a immersive white fishing cabin.
