Open Studio

Onishka

For the last day of the festival, four OFFTA partners invite you to a journey of open studios to discover projects they are supporting or developing. A sweet finale that will allow festivalgoers to end their reflection on work by discovering artists from here and abroad!

Onishka [Montréal, CA]
At the crossroads of several artistic disciplines but primarily in theatre, Onishka is a Montreal-based interdisciplinary arts organization that creates bridges between indigenous peoples worldwide while honoring their diversity, richness and resilience. Onishka means “wake up!” in Anishnabemowin. In this spirit, Onishka believes that indigenous cosmologies provide pathways towards sustainable communities. Through artistic expression, we can challenge and transform the world we live in. Since 2016, Onishka has presented Indigenous Contemporary Scene.
