Care is at the heart of Toronto-based artist Celia Green’s practice. Drawing from their experience creating the solo performance Jason, Celia has been reflecting on different strategies and methodologies of care in relation to their support community. What does their support make possible in a creative process?
At the intersection of collective brainstorming and conversation, Celia will share various care and support tools they have discovered and utilized to sustain themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually throughout the development of their project. Through this conversational gathering, Celia will offer an opportunity to explore how care can play a central role in the creative process, offering practical insights and personal reflections on sustaining well-being in artistic work. Join the exchange for a space to reflect, share, and explore the dynamics of care, support and community in creative practice.
This talkback will be facilitated by Belen Blizzard.
