Dear Criminals, the enigmatic and minimalist musical trio composed of Charles Lavoie (b.et.a.l.o.v.e.r.s), Frannie Holder and Vincent Legault (Random Recipe), encounters Monia Chokri, actress and film director, in a unique opening event. Come witness the fusion of two fiercely vibrant artistic visions through which music is embodied in an exuberant performative space.

Be warned: Dear Criminals – three musical partners in crime, each in the possession of an enviable stash of talent and now with Weapons at their disposal – have designs on hearts and minds. And if Montreal multi-instrumentalists Charles Lavoie (b.e.t.a.l.o.v.e.r.s), Frannie Holder and Vincent Legault (both of Random Recipe) get their way, yours will soon be theirs. It’s a deftly executed, three-pronged push that lends grandeur to music that is otherwise essentially minimalist at base. Their new EP, Crave, will be release on April 22nd.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE – Monia Chokri
After she completed her studies at Montreal's Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 2005, Monia defended no less than a dozen plays on the boards of Montreal theaters.In addition to having played in several theatre productions in Montreal, she has received notable roles in films presented at the Cannes Film Festival directed by Québécois filmmakers, namely Denys Arcand and Xavier Dolan. In addition, in 2013, she wrote and directed her first short film Quelqu’un d’extraordinaire, which earned her several awards including the Jutra (2014) for best short or medium-length film, the award at the festival South By Southwest (Texas 2014), 5 awards at the 11th gala Prend ça court (2014) and several other prizes.
