PAN///POP///R// (fantasmagorie sur Léon Thérémine)
Mellissa Larivière, Simon-Pierre Lambert, Charles Dauphinais,
Maxime Carbonneau and Navet Confit
Theater | 50 min

Through this fantasized biography of Lev Sergeïevitch Termen, this collective makes use of the soundscapes of revolt, the musicality of speeches and the ambiguity of bodies to tell the ideological misappropriation of a man’s life at the centre of revolutions, in order to create a pop art  piece that is singular.

Text, stage director, set builder and cast: Mellissa Larivière, Simon-Pierre Lambert, Charles Dauphinais, Maxime Carbonneau and Mathieu Grégoire
Set designer: Patrice Charbonneau-Brunelle
Music: Navet Confit
Artistic advisor: Emmanuelle Sirois

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Mellissa Larivière, Charles Dauphinais, Simon -Pierre Lambert and Maxime Carbonneau evolve as an artistic community looking for a creative hierarchy in an "almost communist balance". Their individual voices blend and clash in an attempt to create a performative object at the convergence of experimental theatre, American pop, biographical work and political discourse.

Patrice Charbonneau Brunelle is actively participating in the phantasmagoria and in the symbolic shifts we seek in PAN///POP///R//. His stage design is developed in real time in the rehearsal room, on the same level as the other creators.

The soundtrack, devised by Navet Confit, borrows as much from the famous theremin of The Day The Earth Stood Still, as from Russian Orthodox chants, the Beach Boys, Britney Spears, and famous political speeches.
